Emerson House
Set in the wonderful energy of a town center, the home draws on the simplicity and restraint of Shaker tradition, reimagined in a modern way. Its form is clear and composed—simple, yet rich in proportion, light, and craftsmanship.
The house is anchored on three sides by a traditional wrap around porch. The front porch is an inviting social connection to the neighborhood; the side porch opens to the warmth of the sun and provides shelter when needed. While the rear screened in porch provides privacy and solitude.
Sunlight plays a central role, moving through the home over the course of the day. Interiors are arranged to welcome it, supporting both busy daily routines and quiet moments.
