House In The Woods

Nestled among the trees, the house feels like it belongs there—a quiet extension of the woods, where architecture and nature stay in balance. Shingle siding in soft, natural tones and low rooflines help it blend into the canopy, more discovered than announced.

Inside, the home is shaped by light. Spaces follow a north–south axis, aligned with the day’s path: morning light filters gently into the breakfast nook and all other rooms. The solar paths continues to south and to the west providing differing levels of sunlight warming all the rooms in home as the day recesses.

Porches and terraces extend outward, stepping lightly with the land. They act as open-air rooms—places for coffee, reading, or watching the sunset as the woods grow still.
